Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.
It has been a while since I got excited about something. However, I am always excited when it’s time to go to the mall to shop for new clothes and makeup.
The last time I went shopping, I bought the most beautiful dress and a cute jumpsuit. I’ve been rocking them throughout the summer. School is about to start, and it’s time to go shopping for jeans and jackets.
One of the best parts about shopping is the food. I wonder if I am the only one who loves eating after shopping. I usually don’t go shopping alone. I go with my friends, we can share a pizza or get some wings and drinks.
The worst part about shopping is struggling to find the perfect size and seeing that you do not fit into the clothes you like. It is so heartbreaking, but I always manage to squeeze in or find something that works.
Oh, and then there are the people who don’t want to buy anything but are just there to see the things they like or to people-watch. Yup, people-watching is a thing; I do it, too. I like seeing what other girls are wearing so I can get outfit inspiration.
I love shopping, to bad I can’t always go shopping. But when I do, I am super stoked.
My name is real name is Jametta, although most people know me as Madame Ann 😅, which is what MABS means Madame Ann’s Beauty Shop 😄
Anywho, when I asked my parents what Jametta meant, they said it was a combination of their names: James + Esther = Jamesther.
They were not thrilled with the name Jamesther for their baby girl, so they shortened it to Jametta.
I have not met another person named Jametta 🤭, but when I do, I will hug her because Jametta is not a common name.
I love my name, though it is a story of love and sheer creativity. Thinking about it, I have all the qualities of my parents: my mom’s brilliance and loyalty and my father’s giving heart and courage.
If my kids asked me what Jametta means, I would tell them it means someone brilliant, loyal, giving, and courageous.
My middle name is Anietie, and it means Who’s like God? I am from Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. I am a testimony to the name Anietie because I have come to understand that there is no one like God.

I used to wake up helpless, just going with the flow or mindlessly scrolling for hours on Instagram—hours wasted on cheap dopamine. I was unhappy. I lacked the motivation to do anything extra other than what was required.
I am unsure when I changed or decided to start dreaming again. I remember listening to Apostle Joshua Selman. His words always encouraged me. He would always say look unto the cross. I did. I remember praying to God, just handing everything over to him.
I am weak and as human as it gets, but I know that I am in God’s hand and that his Mercy radiates all through my life. I have the courage to try again. If a project fails, I try a new one. If a client leaves, I up my skills while praying for new clients.

The truth is that most people who show a happy face or seem competent everywhere have a dark side. My dark side was when I thought I could do everything with my power and wisdom. The realization that I alone was not enough gave me a beating to helplessness and not willing to try; some would call that depression.
Apostle Joshua Selman changed my life because he made me aware that not being enough on my own was a truth. A more significant fact is that a competent God is ready to accept me, just as I am. No matter how frail or how big of a sinner I am.
Another thing that motivates me is seeing other black women succeed, win, and achieve their goals. Every time I hear these women talk, all they always say is God. These women have a prayer life, a word study life, and, most importantly, a personal journey with God.
My biggest motivation is my personal journey with God. I created my coloring book with that journey in mind.
You can find Apostle Joshua Selman on YouTube, Koinonia Global.
I love easy access to Wi-Fi, constant electricity, and clean water. These are basic things, but where I come from, they’re considered luxury. I am grateful for where I am and always hopeful.
In some way, being here has brought me closer to God, and that’s what really matters.
I created a new coloring book. It’s called knowing God. I had the idea of relating animals to a truth found in the bible. Every animal offers a glimpse into the spiritual truths that shape our understanding of the Creator.
The coloring book is perfect for all ages, it is not just an artistic activity but a spiritual journey. It invites you to reflect, meditate, and grow closer to God through the wonder of His creation.
I think it is pretty cool, here is a free coloring page. And if you would love the entire coloring book, totally click here.
Courage is the emotion that generates inner strength. Sometimes, it’s hard to get out of bed to push, but courage helps me—courage to show up for myself, business, and school.
I always feel courageous, and I am glad it enables me to post on the blog, pitch my business, and ask for help when I need it.
I was not always courageous. I have had days when I just couldn’t get out of bed and days when I was too scared to pitch my business.
The moment I realized it was not by my strength, willpower, or by being super cute, it all changed.
All I ever needed was God to hold my hands through the day. The concept of God holding my hands gives me courage. And I always feel it because I now know that God is holding my hands.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you are struggling to get out of bed or put work on in, just remember God is holding your hands. He gives you the courage to get out of bed and strength to do the next task.
I am pretty new to planning. However, I have learned the value of committing your goals and plans to God so far.
I then try to write them down and also write strategies to help me achieve them.
I am flexible but goal-oriented, so I always do small, achievable tasks to help me achieve my goal. And I reward myself every time I accomplish the week’s target.
A tip: do 45-minute focused work and 15-minute breaks.
Adopting this routine significantly reduced my burnout. In my 15-minute breaks, I find time to indulge in a good book, enjoy some humor on Instagram, or even treat myself to a refreshing cup of coffee. These moments of relaxation, these acts of self-care, are crucial in maintaining productivity and well-being.
