Chastity

Let me start this article by asking a sensitive question. When was the last time you had sex? Are you married to the person you had sex with?

Don’t worry. This is a safe place, no judging here.

Today we will talk about chastity. We will discuss all the details you need to know about being chaste, its importance, and what you can gain from being celibate.

Chastity means purity. It is the voluntary practice of abstaining from extramarital and all forms of sex. Examples of chaste people are virgins and faithful married couples.

Chaste people are pure in thought, words, and action. Psychology says our thoughts, activities, and comments are interpolated. Anything we do originates from our thoughts.

When we break the Law of Chastity, we sin against ourselves and our Higher calling. It is easier to pardon, punish or point fingers at our sins, but let’s not forget our purpose. Our purpose is to raise the vibrations of the Earth. We cannot wallow in the lower energies if we want to raise the vibration.

Science proved that virgins have happier lives; for example, they have less emotional damage from failed relationships, less chances of STDs, and increased marital stability. Fortunately, there is still hope for us who are not virgins if we can volunteer for celibacy.

How do you practice chastity?

  • If you want to be chaste, the first thing you need is grace. So pray for the grace to be chaste.
  • Connect with friends who are on the same celibacy journey
  • Inform your partner of your decision and take things slow
  • Only date a person if you want to marry them
  • Avoid temptations, no kissing, no masturbation
  • Keep your thought and words pure

How do married couples practice chastity?

When we get married,  chastity is still essential. We must stay loyal to our partners and not overdo the freedom. We must keep our bodily integrity and avoid objectifying it.

Why is chastity so important?

Many choose to be celibate for non-religious purposes. They become chaste to focus on work, school, or projects. The new focus proves that we can achieve bigger things when we put our minds to it.

In some religions, priests and women must be chaste so they do not pollute themselves.

We must respect our bodies enough to recognize that premarital and extramarital sex is actions against our Higher self.

If we engage in sinful sex, we cannot raise the Earth’s vibrations. We must strive to ascend to a new level where we understand the spiritual aspects of life on Earth. Sex is too simple.

Follow the steps in the article to become chaste and watch how the universe thanks you.

Charity

Have you ever been in a situation where you needed help? Do you remember being grateful that someone took the time to listen and help you?

Yesterday, we discussed the mother of all heavenly virtues, humility. Today we will discuss Charity. Charity means to love someone else. Charity is the ability to be generous to people.

On my first day in a new city, I got lost. I didn’t have wifi or a sim to call the hotel about my situation, so I attempted to ask people to help me call the hotel. Many people avoided me, and some laughed at me, calling me a silly tourist, but I remember the man that helped me. I walked up to him with a teary eye and asked him to call the hotel; he did without asking anything in return and without laughing. He couldn’t speak English well but understood and lent me his phone. That is charity—the ability to help others without getting anything in return.

Charity is giving to the needy, helping a silly tourist, and feeding a hungry bird.

It is through charity that we express gratitude for life. If you are in a position to help someone, help them.

The world can be such a cold place, but it is through charity that we share our warmth with others.

Do you believe that everyone deserves a better life?

Our time on Earth is limited. Our wisdom, beauty, and money are temporary things. The only permanent thing is our actions toward other people.

People say that when you help someone, the person might turn around to hurt you. Why should we let the fear of getting negative results stop us from helping people who need help? The whole point is to help without expecting anything in return.

Another concept I want to bring up is the part where the Bible said, “So when you give to the needy, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing so that your giving may be secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

When we do anything for anybody, we should not show off; this means no pictures or gossip.

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels and have not charity, I have become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Charity is the type of love you give to all, even to those who have hurt you. Read that again. The person who irritates you the most deserves your love too.

Charity helps us to fight greed. With charity, we can make Earth a better place for all.

Keep following us as we discuss all the heavenly virtues. Tomorrow, we will discuss chastity.

Humility

Humility means freedom from pride. It is one of the heavenly virtues. The word “humility” emanates from the Latin word “humus,” which means earth. Therefore, Humility means being grounded.

Today we will discuss all you need to know about Humility. Why we need to be humble and the importance of Humility in our community.

How do you feel when injustice is done to you? A humble person knows when to back down and not to fight for Authority. A humble person knows when to step back, even when demanding their right seems logical.

We need to acknowledge that there is a spiritual order in the universe, and Humility comes from accepting the order of Authority. When we understand our place in the order of things, we realize the foolishness of taking our desires and achievement too seriously.

Obey the Lord, be humble, and you will get riches, honor, and long life, Proverbs 22:4.

Humility is essential for maintaining a good relationship with God, people, and ourselves. We must humble ourselves to God and acknowledge him for who He is in the order of the universe.

Do you know anyone arrogant or narcissistic? Do you consider yourself humble?

How do you identify a humble person?

  • A humble person does not think they are better than any other person
  • A humble person is polite and considerate, self-aware, and possesses stronger self-control
  • A humble person is aware they are not perfect
  • A humble person allows other people to learn and grow with them
  • A humble person takes responsibility for their actions
  • A humble person is grateful

I recently listened to a podcast about leadership; the guest said, “Whoever is the greatest should be the servant of the others. If you put yourself above others, you will be put down. But if you humble yourself, you will be honored.”

Why is Humility essential?

A humble person respects God. A humble person calls on God to help in their personal goals and targets. The prayer of a humble person is, ‘Lord bless my plans so they can be successful.

Humility is vital in our community because it makes us better leaders, learners, and thinkers.

There are some essential characteristics of Humility. A humble person must be genuine, confident, grateful, strong, and willing to help others.

Humility is the heavenly virtue that requires us to know our origin and acknowledge God.

Keep reading; we will discuss other heavenly virtues.

The first time I felt my pulse

The first time I felt my pulse, I remembered the essence of life. I know this sounds bizarre; you might be asking what I mean. Let me explain!

Lately, I have forgotten that the fundamental goal is to stay alive. It doesn’t matter what challenges we might face. We must strive to stay alive every day—breath in, breath out, don’t stop.

No matter what challenge or even when your anxiety is blinding. Keep going.

Medical school is bliss. ‘Cough Cough.’ Baring all, I am grateful that it reminded me about living and staying alive.

Do you have any idea how hard our systems are working to make sure we are alive? Take the heart for example. The heart beats even when we decide to sleep. It doesn’t complain, it has one job, keep beating.

This awareness inspired me to keep working to achieve my dream, to be persistent and intentional.

The first time I felt my pulse, I prayed my heart would not stop. I will not stop living; please don’t stop beating. I will not give up; please continue pumping.

Med school will explain how the most common cause of diseases is imbalance. A plethora of things can go wrong in our bodies, and sometimes, we call them idiopathic. Idiopathic means the doctors do not know the cause. It just happened.

The first time I felt my pulse, I prayed. Dear God, Keep me safe in this cold world, alive and healthy. Give me the will to want to stay alive, so I can fulfill my task and make the world a better place.

The first time I felt my pulse, I realized the value of time. My heart has been beating for more than two decades.

The first time I felt my pulse, I was grateful for life and good health.

The courage to be disliked

Life is simple when we naturally live our lives.

This article is about the book by Fumitake Koga and Ichiro Kishimi, the courage to be disliked. The book is a conversation between a young man and a philosopher. The philosopher uses knowledge from Adlerian Psychology to educate the youth,

If you are a fan of psychology, you will love this book.

Humans have a universal desire to pursue superiority; in order words, we always want to be better versions of ourselves.

To achieve our desire to be the best, there are two routes. The first is an easy route, stepping on people to get what you want. The second route requires working towards achieving the success that we wish to and still remaining kind and gentle to people.

The philosopher educates the youth about individual tasks that must be completed before we can be truly free and happy to attain the superiority we desire.

Our individual task is having a genuine concern for others, building horizontal relationships, and taking the approach of confidence, encouragement, and commitment to the community.

The philosopher defined commitment to the community as thinking about what we can give to the community and not what the community can give us.

Many of us view the world as cruel and unkind because there are too many incidents of murder, rape, war, criminals, and liars. It is more comfortable for us to stop believing in the world and live by minding our business. We choose to stay on our lanes, ensuring not to interfere or get to know people on a deeper level.

It is easier to live in fear and doubt. We claim a feeling of false superiority.

False superiority means that we feel we are better than others, that people are not worth our time, and that we think it is okay to judge people.

False superiority is what the philosopher calls life-lie, lying to yourself.

Our task to love others and have confidence in people is challenging. It is difficult because not everyone feels obligated to the task; many are angry at life and community members, e.g., family, colleagues, and even the church.

We cannot change people; all we can do is be kind and pray. Through our kindness to them, they may decide to change by their own will.

Anger is another reason we make life unnecessarily difficult.

The philosopher defines anger as a tool and a form of communication used to achieve a purpose of false superiority.

One might be angry and raise her voice to assert: ‘my idea is better,’ ‘I am older,’ ‘the world revolves around me.’

Anger is merely a tool that may be changed for a better one. Instead of anger, use respect and humility. The world does not revolve around anyone. We live in the community as individuals; we are the smallest unit of the community. Yet, we also belong to a larger community beyond what we can see.

We are all equal but not the same. There is freedom in accepting oneself and not needing to be extra or seeking recognition from others. Be you and strive to be better; there is no need for competition. Have the awareness that we are comrades and equal in consciousness. We should live in the moment, do what we can, and do it honestly.

Life is simple when we see people as our comrades and realize that our individual task is to love one another and give our talents to the community.

God is in charge of planning; you are in charge of living your life as best as you can that would not hurt another being. Live life in the moment, not in what was or fear of what might be. We do not need to be afraid to be who we are or fear our true selves will be disliked.

Note to Self

Psychology says our thoughts and actions are controlled by an inner parent or child, id vs. superego.

I agree to an extent… There is an inner voice discerning between right or wrong and another voice that seeks instant gratification of pleasures.

The inner child might want to sleep all week, eating junk food, but the inner parent would usually kick in to remind you of the workload or your promise not to be lazy and unhealthy.

There should be a balance between these inner voices because an imbalance can cause clinical problems, e.g., depression.

Who is your competition?

The game is finding and restoring the balance between your inner parent and child. You are your competition.

What will it cost you to achieve your dreams? What do you need to sacrifice to achieve your dreams? You can sleep late to wake up at 10 am or wake up early to meditate and start studying, reading, and working towards your goals.

Stop looking at others as your competition, you are your competition, and the game is finding a balance between the inner child and parent.

There is no one responsible for you but God. You are in charge of your zeal to fight for your success; you have free will to choose to fight for it, pray for it, and believe in it.

Do not let anyone talk down on your success after you have worked hard for the results you have now.

People can say whatever they like, but my success remains my success and brings all glory to God.

Control yourself, aim to beat your high score, remain humble and let God lift you up.

I will be made rich in every way so that I can be generous on every occasion, and through them, my generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that I perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions to God, 2 Corinthians 9:11.

Self control is important, how do you expect to control institutions if you do not know how to control yourself.

I got a high mark on an exam; I was so happy until I heard someone saying the exam was not that difficult; I felt bad initially, but then I realized it was her id voice dominating the moment, so I rewarded myself for beating my high score.

People can say whatever they like, but my success remains my success and brings all glory to God.

Earthquake

It has been unusually windy all day, and all birds seek shelter in the thickest trees. Initially, I was sorry for them; they seemed afraid and confused. But, the funny thing was, these birds knew more about what was coming.

The birds were even luckier because they flew; they were more equipped for the dangers.

At around 10 pm, for a good 2 minutes, the whole city was shaking. There was an earthquake!

I had never experienced an Earthquake before. I was terrified; I did not know what was happening or what to do. I thought I was safe in my apartment, but even this ‘shelter’ was not safe. My instinct was to escape; I was not in the safest place I could be.

Where can one run to during an Earthquake?

Walls cracked, windows broke, “what is happening.”The place I felt safe was in danger. I could be trapped, dead, or, worse, injured. I wished I could fly when the earth was not safe anymore.

The Earthquake experience got me thinking; we never know what will happen next. All we have is hope and prayer.

I am grateful to God for safety and for helping to reduce the Earthquake’s impact. How can we live and ignore this God? The Source of Life, light, and wisdom. They know what will happen before it happens.

We do not control our next breath or the flow of our blood. This is enough reason to be aware of the Highest, Most Supreme, and Sovereign energy.

We can choose to be angry and scared because we live in a chaotic world, living in a silent depression about a world where birds could be singing one time and in the next second fall out of the sky, or we can choose to be aware that despite all this unpredictability, there is a capable God.

The awareness that we are not alone.

The awareness that the world is not as it seems. It is not simply black or white. It is spiritual warfare. The Earthquake experience made me realize that it is not our job to fix the uncertainty or label the world, its people, or the things that happen. Instead, our purpose is to raise our vibrations, to give God the glory and honor in everything, to praise them and allow them to fight and win these battles.

Death to body or Life to the soul?

man floating on a cloud

We leave heaven in our soul form to come to earth. We appear packaged in a physical case, and when we die, we return to our original state in heaven.

We are given different tasks and different time frames to fulfill these tasks. Each day we spend on earth, we become closer to our return back to God. The source, 1 Corinthians 8 vs. 6.

For this reason, it is unnecessary to give much attention to our physical bodies. The concept of self-love means to take care of your body, but a more significant portion means to take care of aspects of your being that are metaphysical, supernatural, and spiritual.

We should give more time and energy to our spirits because although we die physically, our spirit matures. Therefore, we must strive to keep our souls and hearts strong. How do we do this? I am still on my journey of figuring this out, and I hope you are too.

So far, I have realized that denying the body of innate desires like sex, food, pleasure, and comfort is a way of making our connection to our spiritual self.

No masturbating, consciously restraining from fast foods and alcohol and staying away from people to spare time to get to know yourself and your God. This is one way.

Many members of the woke generation say that masturbation for them is a form of meditation. However, I do not support this.

They probably have their reasons or read from some ancient book suggesting that there are benefits to masturbation. My truth is, one man’s meat is another man’s poison. It spoils the whole point of denying the body and priming the soul.

The goal here is to continuously remain in alignment with God.

Romans 12:2; Do not conform to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God. You will be able to find your purpose, talent, and anointing.

We must strive to keep our spirits pure and true to our purpose. To achieve this, we must starve the innate desires and focus on pleasing the higher energies, finding favor in their sight, and praying for blessings and spiritual growth.

Death is inevitable; our souls will return wherever they come from. However, there is a reward if we accomplish our tasks.
